Dylan Romero’s Barefoot Camino

Dylan Romero’s right knee required surgery before his Camino in 2009. Afterward footed with a fine boot he happened to read Christopher McDougall’s Born to Run. Calculating that if the natives of Mexico’s Copper Canyon can run for ever in bare feet, what advantage does the new footwear designers have over the genetic perfection of your basic human foot. Figure, none.

Fitted with Vibram FiveFingers Dylan started very soon to notice a change  and one that brought back the pleasure and fun of walking and running even with his healing knee. While on the Camino read his net result of going shoeless at his great website; Walking the Camino.
